Freelance film crews for a global TV documentary series

We produce five documentaries and TV reports every month – shot on location around the world – for an international weekly TV magazine. Each film airs on linear television across a network of partner channels in more than 170 countries, with a strong focus on Latin America (including Mexico, Colombia and Chile), North America and the Caribbean, and Europe (including Spain and Bulgaria), as well as Africa and Asia. We don't hire permanent staff for this. We work with a pool of freelancers who join us project by project. Every shoot is run by a team of two to three people, and we look for people who are ready to travel worldwide, are flexible, and take ownership of the film from the first frame to the final cut.

Open positions

01

Production Project Manager

As Production Project Manager you are the organisational backbone of our productions: you coordinate schedules, crews, travel and clients across time zones and keep five parallel productions per month on track.

What we expect

  • Experience in coordinating film, TV or media productions and working directly with clients
  • Fluent English is essential (any accent is absolutely fine); Spanish is an advantage, but not a must
  • Strong Excel skills for planning, budgets and tracking
  • Confident use of AI tools – ideally Claude – for your own organisation, communication and documentation
  • Structured, self-organised and calm when many things happen at once

What we offer

  • A central role in an international documentary operation with productions in Latin America, North America, Europe, Africa and Asia
  • Direct collaboration with producers, clients and the broadcaster's editorial team
  • Films that air on linear TV in more than 170 countries
02

Producer (Freelance)

As a freelance producer you plan and lead shoots on location worldwide – documentaries and TV reports of eight to ten minutes, produced for international broadcast. You are part of a team of two to three people per production.

What we expect

  • Proven experience in documentary or TV production (producing, directing, camera or interviewing)
  • Willingness to travel internationally, often on short notice, and stay flexible with dates and locations
  • Drone footage is part of every production – a drone license and experience with aerial shots are a strong plus
  • Fluent English is essential (any accent is absolutely fine); Spanish is a clear advantage
  • Reliable, well organised and comfortable working in small, self-directed teams

What we offer

  • Freelance work on a per-project basis – five productions per month worldwide
  • All travel costs are covered by us: flights, transit and hotels are booked and paid for in advance – you never pay upfront
  • Films that air on linear TV in more than 170 countries
  • Long-term collaboration for freelancers who want to keep working with us

How we work

Editorially prepared

Research comes before the camera. Every production starts with a clear question and a sharpened topic.

Clear handovers

Responsibilities are defined. Information moves from editorial into production in a structured way.

Real production

We shoot ourselves. Concepts are not drawn up in the abstract but with an eye on what can be made.

International locations

Productions happen where the story is – often outside Germany.

Ownership, not micromanagement

We work in a small structure. Whoever owns a role also makes the calls.
